Over the past 40 years we have worked with a wide range of different clients, in numerous sectors including Personal Care, Household, Medical and Food Packaging. At Coda, we are always keen to work with any individual or business that is looking for help and guidance in bringing an innovative and functional concept through to full production. Over the past two years we have been working with Challs, the manufacturer of 'Buster' to create a cap assembly for one of their drainage products.
Buster®
Buster is a range of household drain unblocking products and Challs came to us to create the cap assembly for their
'Deep Clean Foamer' bottle. We designed, developed, prototyped and manufactured the cap which is twin nozzled to allow the two materials contained in the bottle to come together and foam upon contact with one another. The cap assembly is made of Polypropylene and Polyethylene parts and was a very challenging design as we had to ensure there was no back leakage between the two jets to avoid foaming in the bottle.
The client used a creative design agency to come up with the initial shape of the bottle and then we were able to create the design for manufacture from this initial concept. The packaging was specifically designed for this product to enable foaming when used and was tested for the best consumer experience when using the pack. As the design was a blow mould design, we were able to work closely with the clients blow moulding supplier to ensure our bespoke designed cap would work seamlessly with their bottle design.
This project has been in development and ultimate manufacture for two years, including the development of the product inside too. As part of the project there has been extensive pack testing carried out using pilot tooling mouldings as well as the pack have full Child Resistant Certification.
