Everybody who attended the Med Tech Innovation Exposition 2016 agreed that it was a resounding success. Experts in medical technology from across the UK and further afield gathered at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry last month to discuss the latest med-tech developments and to share ideas. We were there to offer our extensive experience of plastic and packaging manufacturing and show how we can tailor it specifically to the medical industry.
An Increase in Numbers
Med Tech Innovation 2016 was the fourth annual exposition. With each successive show the number of people attending on day one has increased. Plans are already being made for next year's show to be bigger and better than its predecessors.
Colin Martin, the director of the show, said:
"Once again we are delighted with our EXPO - a unique and exceptional quality exhibition. Ricoh's Jaguar Hall was more than matched with a desire from the industry to gain know-how through the top level conference and seminar programmes. Day one saw an increase again in footfall, which continues the trend from previous years but the outstanding attribute is the quality of attendee that this unique event attracts."
Our Personal Highlights
Every year, the Med Tech Innovation Exposition gives us a chance to catch up with our colleagues in the medical technology industry. Each year, we look forward to visiting their stands and seeing who is speaking in the conference presentations. This year it was great to see a number of free specialist seminars offering expert advice from industry experts.
Awards and Plaudits
At the sold out Medilink UK awards ceremony that closed the exposition, it was great to see so much innovation being recognised. Comedian Paul Sinha from ITV's The Chase was on hand to tell a few jokes and present the awards.
