As the situation across the globe continues to unfold, at Coda Plastics Ltd we continue to monitor the situation daily and as further developments occur, we are adjusting our processes accordingly. We continue to review the latest advice from the Government and carry out the necessary actions to safeguard our employees.
We are reviewing our shift patterns on a daily basis and are prioritising production to ensure staff are working in isolation. We are also experiencing staff shortages due to some members of the team requiring to self-isolate and we expect this to be a continuously fluid situation as staff return to work and others self isolate.
All current orders that have been placed with us are being worked through, however we are prioritising all packaging that is manufactured for hand gels and hand washes, medical packaging and food packaging above everything else. There will be significant delays to lead times on all other products and any new orders placed from today will be reviewed and estimated lead times given on a job by job basis. Obviously no lead times will be guaranteed while this crisis continues.
We are working closely with our haulage company and will be using electronic communications to avoid contact and maintain social distancing for drivers.
At some point in the coming days all non-production staff are likely to be remote working and as such there may only be limited managing of the telephone system using VOIP in some home office locations. Please use email or mobile telephone numbers that you have already for communication where possible.
We are monitoring our raw material supply chain daily and communication closely with our suppliers to keep up to date with their current situations.
All visits to the site are still currently postponed until further notice.
We would like to extend our thanks to all our customers who have continued to liaise with us and keep us posted on their own developments as circumstances change. We will continue to do this also.
From everyone at Coda Plastics we extend our best wishes to all our customers and their families in this challenging time and we hope to continue providing you all with the supply and service we have been during this period.
