A number of different industries rely on plastic products to function, including the medical, pharmaceutical, construction and retail industries. This makes producing their products efficiently, quickly and on-demand essential. The best way to meet these needs is to manufacture these products with injection moulding due to the many benefits it has over production processes. At Coda Plastics we use injection moulding as one of the key ways that we manufacture and produce plastic products for our clients.
What is Injection Moulding?
Injection moulding is a manufacturing process for producing products and parts from a host of different materials, including metal, glass and, most commonly, plastics. The products are produced by heating up the material to make them malleable and then forcing them into a shaped mould of your intended product. When the material cools down it will harden and solidify into shape, creating the final product or component.
This process allows you to create high quality, accurately made products simply and easily. The injection moulding process is very fast, making them ideal for mass produced products and quickly creating prototypes for testing. The more complicated the design, the more difficult the process and the longer it will take, however, it is still the most efficient method of producing most products.
What can be produced?
A large proportion of plastic products available in the world today are produced using plastic injection moulding as their production method. The flexibility in shape, size and complexity of the products that can be produced allows for almost any product to potentially be made in this way. Just a small number of examples include:
Our new machines
With the recent acquisition of new Krauss Maffei injection moulding machines we are very well equipped to handle any injection moulding needs that you may have. With our increased capacity we have even more machines for new projects and are always happy to help and meet new clients and help them with their production needs.
We provide complete injection moulded solutions that allow you to create your products and realise any design ideas that you may have. We have worked with a number of different of clients to produce their products and packaging, including Hessiclip and Imperial Leather, and are fully equipped to handle projects on a global scale.
