Grade 1 Production Operative

Fantastic opportunity for persons looking to work on a busy factory floor. Full training will be provided and there can be opportunities for both overtime and promotion for motivated candidates.

Duties include:

• Making up boxes for shift
• Emptying chute boxes
• Filling and weighing boxes of product to the specified weight
• Packing product to a supplied layout
• Supplying the correct supplied material/colour to the machine hoppers
• Documenting box details onto the correct paperwork
• Wrapping of completed pallets with shrink wrap
• Maintaining factory cleanliness

Responsibilities include:

• Operating a semi-automatic machine as required and instructed
• Application of basic knowledge of product quality
• The ability to stop a machine in an emergency
• Knowledge of who to inform in an emergency
• Knowledge of who to inform of a fault with the machine
• Maintaining safety and hygiene standards
• Reporting any Health and Safety/ Dangers issues, to either the Grade 4, QA manager or the production manager
