Reducing plastic waste sent for landfill and incineration

Posted on 9th October 2013

If you would like more information about using degradable plastics for your next project, do not hesitate to contact us by calling +44(0) 1692 501020 or emailing sales@coda-plastics.co.uk.

At Coda Plastics we work hard to ensure that any waste we generate during the production process is recycled to avoid the need to landfill or incinerate. We re-use all of our own plastic waste as well as purchasing a lot of reprocessed waste from other companies to remould into new products. On top of that we also have a range of plastics that can be disposed of in domestic or industrial compost processes, degrading without trace within 6 – 12 months.

Janez Potocnik, European Commissioner for Environment, last week revealed the results of the European Commissions Green Paper on Plastic Waste at a speech in Brussels. In the speech he said that "most respondents argued that the EU should stop funding land filling and incineration and should start using public money to upgrade recycling infrastructures"
