Stretch blow moulding

When manufacturing bottles, containers and jars from Polyethylene terephthalate, also called PET, we can use the stretch blow moulding process. With stretch blow moulding, the neck features of the container are injection moulded as part of a preform. This is then blown inside the mould cavity to form the body of the container.

Example uses

PET bottles created by the stretch blow moulding process make strong packaging for the household, food & beverage, and personal care sectors. PET also has a high gloss finish and is often the choice for premium products, making it a good substitute for glass.
