  • Rapid prototyping

Our rapid prototyping services are second to none, we use our wealth of experience and knowledge to deliver validation of our clients concept on time and at the lowest costs possible. Coda provide rapid prototyping to enable visualisation of the parts during the conceptual stages of engineering design through to early stage functional testing.

  • Plastic prototypes

We use plastic prototypes as a process to validate your concept before detailed design and development takes place. Although costs can vary enormously, Coda will advise you on the type of plastic prototype you will need by assessing the number of models or parts that are required, giving you help to make the correct choice on which type of plastic prototypes will best suit your concept.

  • 3D printing

Our 3D printing service can produce a three dimensional model of your concept within 1 or 2 days. This speed of service can help you to quickly establish the suitability of your concept in 3D form before moving onto the, sometimes time consuming, design and development stages. At Coda Plastics, we can optimize 3d printing for speed, lower cost, and ease-of-use.

  • Injection moulding prototyping

Here at Coda we use vacuum casting to provide an injection moulding prototype and give a very close representation to an injection moulded part and closely mimic final production material selection. The injection moulded prototype can be used for a limited number of times and allows clients to turn their concept into a prototype.

  • Rapid tooling

We provide rapid tooling for low volume manufacturing. The method uses a full mould tool, which is manufactured in Aluminium or soft steel and can be run in a standard injection moulding machine to produce production quality parts in low volumes. Rapid tooling creates a pre production product, which can be used for final sign off or sales launches whilst the production tooling is being manufactured.

  • Rapid injection moulded parts

Often companies require a small amount of rapid injection moulded parts with a fast lead-time and Coda can provide this service. Depending on the complexity and size of the part lead times can be between 5 and 20 days. Rapid injection moulding is a very low volume process where a standard mould base is used and custom inserts are manufactured to produce injection moulded parts.

Meeting your rapid prototypes requirements

Coda ensures that by using our considerable experience the rapid prototypes you receive will be to your requirements and will fit the purpose they are intended for without expensive re-modelling and CAD data modification costs being incurred.

You can rest assured that with Coda Plastics all the components and models produced will be of the highest quality.

Plastic prototyping

Plastic prototyping with experience

Using an experienced plastic prototyping management company, like Coda Plastics, ensures that the 3D CAD that is being used will be free of any imperfections and will create the best possible prototypes.

Whether you are in need of plastic prototyping for pre-production, full production, marketing purposes or component testing with Coda's knowledge and dedication your prototype will deliver what is needed of it.

SLA models and SLS models

SLA and SLS Models for your prototyping

Our SLA Models are manufactured using an additive fabrication process that utilizes a vat of liquid UV curable photopolymer resin and has a UV laser to build parts a layer at a time.

We develop SLS models which are more often used in situations where a more functional working prototype is required. SLS models can also be finished to a high standard and in the case of metal sintering can be machined using conventional machining processes.
